Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is a historically African-American fraternity founded on January 5, 1911, whose primary objective is achievement in every field of human endeavor. Ever since the founding of the fraternity on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, over 150,000 men of all ethnicities have joined the international bond with numbers steadily continuing to rise. We are the Iota Chi Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. We were chartered on the campus of the University of Miami on December 1st, 1979 and to this very day stress achievement in every field of human endeavor. The five objectives we stand proudly by are: to unite college men of culture, patriotism and honor in a bond of fraternity, to encourage honorable achievement in every field of human endeavor, to promote the spiritual, social, intellectual and moral welfare of members, to assist in the aims and purposes of colleges and universities and to inspire service in the public's interest.
