Dr. Jacquet earned a Ph.D. in Natural Resource Management and Environmental Studies from the University of British Columbia and her dissertation was titled “Fish As Food in an Age of Globalization.” Today, she has several projects on how the animal agriculture industry engages in climate politics, and published op-ed in the Washington Post about “The meat industry is doing exactly what Big Oil does to fight climate action." She will give a broad overview of the global animal food system and its environmental impacts, focusing in on climate change, climate politics, and water use.
