#SONHSThe statistical uncertainty occurs with the hypothesis testing procedure where sample data is used to make statement about the wider population. In this workshop, we discuss why the uncertainty occurs, how it can be quantified, and further discuss the statistical considerations related to the hypothesis testing procedure such as hypotheses, two types of errors, p-values as well as to the study design such as power and sample size, multiplicity issue, primary endpoints, control of errors, etc. Finally, we suggest how we can construct a good study design in protocol development.
