Join fellow ’Canes as we examine the journey of an extraordinary alumna: Lynn Vinocur Wilson, B.A. ’62, owner, Lynn Wilson Associates International, whose journey broke the mold as she left her mark on the world of interior design. Tune in for this virtual conversation on YouTube Premiere examining how this Golden Girl leveraged her professional intuition and instincts, rooted in integrity and quality of excellence that led to enhancing her reputation and ultimately her success. The virtual conversation will be moderated by TsiTsi Wakhisi, associate professor of professional practice, School of Communication.
Lynn Vinocur Wilson, B.A. '62, M.A. '70 is a retired interior architect who has a remarkable portfolio of design projects. She was the founder and president of Wilson Associates, a global firm that specialized in luxury hospitality design. She created stunning interiors for many famous hotels and residences around the world, such as the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, the Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai, the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, and the Versailles estate in Windermere. Her client list includes Queen Elizabeth of England, King Hussain and Queen Noor of Jordan, Sheik Hamdan Maktoum of the United Arab Emirates, and more. She is a generous alumna and philanthropist who supports education and the arts. She plans to leave a bequest to the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Architecture at UM, as a way of giving back to her alma mater. She recently said, "I can't imagine my life without the opportunities I received from UM". Besides designing, she also enjoys painting and spending time with her family.
