Choosing International Arbitration or National Court Litigation: How is the Decision Making Different
A panel comparing judicial vs arbitral decision making by an experienced federal judge/ now arbitrator: Hon. Ursula Ungaro (Boies Schiller) will discuss judicial decision making; arbitrator Prof. Albert Jan van den Berg (Hanitou & van den Berg) will discuss arbitral decision making and Prof. Gail Lione, (Dentons USA LLP) a 3 time General Counsel will provide the “users perspective”- and Prof. Carolyn Lamm (White & Case LLP) will provide the advocates/ arbitrator’s perspective. This panel will provide background for you to choose the best for the resolution of your dispute- and/or how to persuade given different approaches. A short presentation by each – and a panel discussion offering a “birds eye view” in the “kitchen” of decision making.
