About this Event
The Miami Pediatric Nephrology Seminar is a unique international forum for pediatric and adult nephrologists, renal pathologists, pediatricians, pediatric urologists, transplant surgeons and other health professionals from all over the world.
The 47th Pediatric Nephrology Seminar will include a total of 8 Sessions from November 19-21, 2021 covering a wide range of topics including: Frontiers: Emerging Diagnoses & Individualized Therapies, Pediatric Nephrology Training: Current & Future Challenges, Clinico-Pathologic Correlations (Workshop), The Role of The Kidney In The Life Cycle, Transplant Challenges in The Current Environment, Young Investigators Showcase (Fellows & Recent Graduates Presentations), Heroes In Pediatric Nephrology: 2019-2021 – Lessons Learned from The COVID Pandemic: Recognizing Global Heroes During Difficult Times. The Pediatric Critical Care Workshop will focus on Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) in Pediatric Nephrology. This last session, an Interactive Workshop on Pediatric Critical Care, will include basic principles of ultrasound imaging of the kidneys and urinary tract as well as a tool for line placement and imaging of the renal allograft.
The Seminar will feature a number of distinguished guest faculty and local faculty members who will provide expertise and cordial exchanges including several panel discussions. Importantly, funding from the American Society of Pediatric Nephrology (ASPN) and the Jose Strauss Memorial Fellowship have allowed for a limited number of Grants for Fellows and young investigators for registration and awards recognition.
