Moving Image Alliance, in collaboration with the Bill Cosford Cinema, presents this rare screening of the director's cut of the sci-fi action/drama Until the End of the World.
UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD (1991) | 4K RESTORATION | DIRECTOR: Wim Wenders | RUNNING TIME: 287 minutes | RATED R for language and sensuality
Director Wim Wenders’ decades-in-the-making science-fiction epic was conceived as the ultimate road movie. The film follows the restless Claire Tourneur (Solveig Dommartin) across continents as she pursues a mysterious stranger (William Hurt) possessing a device that can make the blind see and bring dream images to waking life.
Set at the turn of the millennium in the shadow of a world-changing catastrophe, Until The End of the World is presented at Cosford Cinema in its 287-minute director’s cut. This nearly five-hour film version is optimized for binge-watching, takes its heroes to the ends of the earth, and resonates with obvious and contemporary concerns.
Admission is FREE but registration is required at link above.
