The American Psychiatric Association cites depression as a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how one feels as well as the way one thinks and acts. Globally, 5% of the population is impacted by this disease. Fortunately, depression is treatable. Attend this webinar to understand the symptoms, risk factors, and recommended treatments. Ways to support family and friends affected by depression will also be reviewed. This webinar will be facilitated by a UM FSAP consultant. FSAP Health and Wellness webinars are offered as part of the University of Miami’s Well ’Canes Program. Attend to receive 100 Well ’Canes points (to a maximum total of 300 points for FSAP 1-hour webinar attendance per calendar year).
