About this Event
Join us as we Kick Off Ubuntu in the new year! Ubuntu is an Employee Resource Group (ERG), that fosters a culture of belonging and inclusion for those who have an interest in African and Caribbean culture at the University of Miami. During this event, you will have the opportunity to meet the Ubuntu leaders, discuss goals of the group for the year, as well as, share your ideas and network with your peers here at the University! We welcome all employees to be a part of this ERG and let their voices be heard.
The word Ubuntu comes from a way of defining humanity in Southern Africa, which translates to “I exist because you exist, if you are not well, I am not well”, which epitomizes our culture of belonging at UM.
