The Spring Term Salons, hosted by the School of Architecture, are a series of outdoor events each Thursday evening in February for students, faculty, alumni, and interested events to learn about and discuss innovative research coming out of the U-SoA Research Labs and faculty research.
Each Salon will feature a panel presentation about the research lab or project, followed by a Q&A conversation with the audience, and an opportunity for mingling and networking over light refreshments.
The following Salon events are as follows:
Thursday, 2/2: "What does it mean to CHIL?" featuring CHIL (Community, Housing and Identity Lab) and curated by Germane Barnes, Director of CHIL
Thursday, 2/9: "How to work the in-between space of research and practice," featuring the LU_Lab and curated by Chris Meyer and Shawna Meyer, Directors of the LU_Lab
Thursday, 2/16: "U-LINK + U-SoA: A Conversation about Research" moderated by Dr. Erin Kobetz, Vice Provost for Research + Scholarship
Thursday, 2/23: "Why integrate intelligence into the built environment?" featuring the RAD Lab and curated by Rodolphe el-Khoury, Dean of the School of Architecture, and Indrit Alushani, RAD Lab Manager
