DESCRIPTION:PHU HOANG is a Founding Director of the interdisciplinary archi
 tecture and design practice MODU. He has led numerous projects\, including
  the Exhale art park and the Promenade mixed-use center. Along with Rachel
 y Rotem\, he was awarded the Founders Rome Prize in Architecture (2017)\, 
 a prestigious prize recognizing 'the highest standards of excellence in th
 e arts and humanities'. He has also received the Emerging Voices award fro
 m the Architectural League of New York (2019) and the US-Japan Creative Ar
 tists Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts (2018). He previ
 ously served as Head of Architecture at Ohio State University and has taug
 ht at Columbia University\, Harvard University\, and the University of Pen
 nsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institut
 e of Technology in Atlanta and a Master of Architecture degree from Columb
 ia University in New York. He is a fellow and trustee of the American Acad
 emy in Rome\, President of its Society of Fellows\, and a licensed archite
