Please join the Frost Symphony Orchestra for its season opening concert featuring music of Joan Tower, William Schuman, and Johannes Brahms. Tower’s Fanfares for the Uncommon Woman pays tribute to “women who take risks and are adventurous.” The sixth fanfare, written in 2014, is dedicated to Hilary Clinton. Schuman’s New England Triptych, written in 1956, was premiered and commissioned by the University of Miami Symphony Orchestra. The concert concludes with German Romantic composer Johannes Brahms’s fourth and last symphony.
