The Fall 2022 University of Miami Op-Ed Challenge will start with a virtual Kick-Off event on Monday, September 19, 2022, from 12:00pm-1:00pm. This information session will feature a panel of experts who will introduce the mechanics of writing an op-ed and lead a discussion on the qualities editors seek. Following the discussion, representatives from the Graduate School will describe the competition, eligibility requirements, the interest form, due dates, and support for competitors.
Interest Form
Students who meet the eligibility criteria and want to participate in the Fall 2022 Op-Ed Challenge must submit an interest form by September 26, 2022. Competitors must be enrolled in a University of Miami doctoral or master’s program that requires an electronic thesis or dissertation (ETD; click here for a list of eligible programs).
