Showcasing the excellence of female brass players and musicians from marginalized groups, Seraph Brass celebrates its tenth anniversary in Miami. Winners of the American Prize in Chamber Music, the group has been praised for their “beautiful sounds" (American Record Guide), "fine playing” (Gramophone), and “staggeringly high caliber of performance” (Textura).
Seraph Brass performs a diverse body of repertoire, ranging from original transcriptions to newly commissioned works and core classics. The program features works by women (Rene Orth, Reena Esmail, Catherine McMichael), American (Anthony DiLorenzo, Kevin Day, Jeff Scott, Kevin McKee), and European (Edvard Grieg, Giuseppe Verdi, Liszt, Franz Dinicu) composers.
