The term "Mwambo" literally means ceremonial rite of passage. It is Chichewa and comes to us from Malawi, East Africa where it was founded. The Senior Mwambo is an African rite of passage ceremony designed to recognize the accomplishments of our graduates and their families. It is a celebration of the transition from one stage of life to the next.
