The built and natural environments are critical for our efforts to build resilience. Smart land-use, robust infrastructure and healthy ecosystem services are key capacities of equitable, sustainable and resilient communities. Many South Florida projects are deploying nature-based responses for infrastructure and officials are considering modifications to zoning and building regulations to reduce vulnerability and risk.
