DESCRIPTION:Software Carpentry helps researchers get their work done in les
 s time and with less pain by teaching them fundamental research computing 
 skills. This hands-on “R” workshop will cover basic concepts and tools
 \, including program design\, version control\, data management\, and task
  automation. The course is aimed at graduate students and other researcher
 s. You don’t need to have any previous knowledge of the tools that will 
 be presented. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to a

 are available throughout the garage at a rate of $1.00 per hour\, with a m

 ps.\n\n \n\nREQUIREMENTS\nParticipants must bring a laptop with a Mac\, Li
 nux\, or Windows operating system (not a tablet\, Chromebook\, etc.) that
