A panel on the future of LGBTQ+ rights under the Trump administration. Experienced LGBTQ+ rights attorneys and advocates will discuss potential policy shifts, challenges, and strategies for protecting LGBTQ+ equality.

Carrie McNamara is a staff attorney at ACLU's Miami office focusing on voting rights. She also has experience in LGBTQ+ litigation and first-hand experience in dealing with Florida’s anti-trans policies.
Kira Willig, Esq., JD '00
Adjunct Professor at Miami Law, Family Law Attorney
Kira Willig has been practicing marital and family law in Miami-Dade County since 2000. Kira represents parties in all areas of family law, including dissolution of marriage, paternity and maternity cases, jurisdictional disputes, custody, parenting plans, relocation, modification, enforcement, child support, post-judgment issues, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. She has previously served on panels on same-sex marriage & divorce, and is passionate about civil right and social justice.

Johnny Bartz is a partner and shareholder at the Bartz Law Firm, where he specializes in family law, immigration, and human rights. His practice focuses on humanitarian removal defense and asylum cases, advocating for individuals from the LGBTQ+ community, survivors of torture, HIV+ indivudals, and family reunification. While at Miami Law, Johnny served on the executive board of OUTLaw.
