This seminar will cover how iLab can facilitate the operations of your core facility or shared research resource.
iLab features include 1) streamlined workflow for managing service requests; 2) easy-to-use interface for scheduling and managing instrument reservations; 3) billing system that enables timely invoicing and accurate accounting; 4) dynamic reports on usage, requests, and billing; 5) customer information management; 6) inventory management system with barcoding capabilities; 7) publication tracker for publications that cite cores; and 8) integration with institutional financial systems and identity management systems.
iLab is integrated with the University of Miami (UM) financial system, which enables this software to be used at UM as an effective core facility management tool. Many core facilities at UM are using iLab to support service requests, instrument reservations, invoicing, and usage tracking. The results include saving time, improving financial controls, streamlining reporting, and increasing accessibility and awareness of shared resources. The UM Office of Research Administration is working to facilitate ready access and expanded use of iLab for interested core facilities across the university.
Please join us to learn how iLab can optimize the management of your core facility.
This seminar is jointly hosted by the Sylvester Shared Resources and the University of Miami Research Cores and Facilities Committee.
