Kick-Off Event
The Fall 2023 University of Miami Op-Ed Challenge will start with a virtual Kick-Off event on Friday, September 29, 2023, from 12:00pm-1:00pm. This information session will feature a panel of experts who will introduce the mechanics of writing an op-ed and lead a discussion on the qualities editors seek. Following the discussion, representatives from the Graduate School will describe the competition, eligibility requirements, the interest form, due dates, and support for competitors.
Interest Form
Students who meet the eligibility criteria and want to participate in the Fall 2023 Op-Ed Challenge must submit an interest form by October 6, 2023. Competitors must be enrolled in a University of Miami doctoral or master’s program that requires an electronic thesis or dissertation (ETD; click here for a list of eligible programs).
