The University of Miami has a long tradition of welcoming new incoming and transfer students, and their families, to our ’Canes community each year through a special Summer Send-Off reception in their hometown. Every summer, University of Miami alumni and parents in cities around the country invite students, and their parents or guardians, to meet and network with local alumni, fellow first-year and transfer students, and University staff in an intimate setting before stepping foot on our campus. This year we will host nearly 20 send-offs to congratulate and welcome our new incoming and transfer students and their families!
