About this Event
10 Columbus Circle, New York, NY 10019
Join us for a vibrant evening featuring University of Miami Frost School of Music faculty member and internationally acclaimed trumpeter, Etienne Charles, as he brings Folklore LIVE Vol. 2 to life.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Manhattan skyline, this dynamic performance transforms the stage into a masquerade celebration where music, movement, and storytelling come together. Expanding on his celebrated Folklore project, Etienne draws inspiration from the rich traditions of the African diaspora—blending sounds and stories from Gullah-Geechee culture, Haitian Vodou, Afro-Mexican Son Jarocho, and Garifuna rhythms.
With dancers woven throughout and an energy that fills the room, this immersive, full-sensory experience is both powerful and joyful—an unforgettable celebration of culture, connection, and creativity.
