About this Event
Mind wandering has solicited immense research interest, particularly in the area of attention, due to its potential to explain attentional lapses in daily activities. The present study applies dynamic functional connectivity method to examine the brain network configurations (i.e., brain states) during task-free resting state and an attention task with frequent occurrence of mind wandering. The findings suggest that while rest and task conditions may involve a common set of brain states, meaningful differences in features of some of the states can be also observed.
