Progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) is an evidence-based relaxation technique used to manage physical and mental stress. PMR has been found to reduce levels of cortisol, a hormone released in response to stress. Regular use of this technique may help you gain a greater sense of control over your body’s stress response and get a better night sleep. Join the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) in this 30-minute webinar to be guided though a progressive muscle relaxation exercise to release tension and stress that often accompanies the holiday season. This seminar will be facilitated by a UM FSAP consultant. FSAP Health and Wellness webinars are offered as part of the University of Miami’s Well ’Canes Program. Attend to receive 75 Pure Wellness points (to a maximum total of 300 points for FSAP 30-minute webinar attendance per calendar year).
