Progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) is an evidence-based relaxation technique used to manage physical and mental stress. PMR has been found to reduce levels of cortisol, a hormone released in response to stress. Regular use of this technique may help you gain a greater sense of control over your body’s stress response and improve sleep. Join the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) in this 30-minute webinar to be guided though a progressive muscle relaxation exercise to release the tension and stress that often accompanies the holiday season. This webinar will be facilitated by a UM FSAP consultant.
