View map Free EventPlease join us to celebrate the centuries-old Japanese art of Ikebana or “making flowers come to life,” on Thursday, September 7 from 6:30-8:30 pm.
The program features Ikebana artists - experts in the Ikenobo School, the oldest and largest school of Ikebana - who will demonstrate their artistry in several arrangements.
The demonstration is followed by a reception and the museum’s galleries will be open, including the related exhibition Transcendent Clay/Kondo: A Century of Japanese Ceramic Art.
