Please join us for Lowe Connects Banned! Storytellers. Inspired by the rich oral traditions of indigenous and POC communities, “Banned! Storytellers," is an activation curated by Chris Friday, that explores the various ways that stories of family, culture and history are passed down from generation to generation.
Within the walls and emptied shelves of the Banned! Interactive Lucy St. library, participating artists will gather to tell stories of collective remembrance, perseverance, and hope for the future through performances of spoken word, music, banned book readings and more!
Banned! Storytellers include: Arsimmer McCoy, Carrington Ware, Claudens Louis, King Friday, Leslie Gomez Gonzalez, Joshua Jean-Baptiste, Joshua “Molo” Buron, KT, Muzelle.
