About this Event
229 Patton Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90049
#CanesdayofserviceIn celebration of Earth Day, the LA ’CANES will be volunteering at the VA Westwood location to help reopen their Japanese Garden. After 2 years of closure due to COVID, the weeds have taken over. That will no longer be the case once our fellow ’Canes bring hurricane winds through to clean up the area! For those who do not want to get their hands dirty, there will be a team preparing lunchboxes for the Veterans as well. Many hands make light work, so please join us on Saturday, April 23.
There is FREE PARKING at the venue! Please be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and bring garden gloves, if you have them. Also, remember to bring a water bottle and wear a hat and sunscreen. The LA 'Canes recommend that all attendees wear a mask while participating in the event.
Registered participants will receive a commemorative 'Canes Day of Service t-shirt. (Shirt sizes not guaranteed.)
