 ng along your loved ones\, children\, and friends! This event is BYO-Picni
 c\, so feel free to bring beach snacks for yourself or to share.  \n\n \n\
 nWhether you're a seasoned pro or a first-time surfer\, come to catch some
  waves and take a lesson from one of our experienced alums. If you are not
  into surfing\, come for a great beach day with fellow ’Canes! \n\n \n\n
 We will meet near Lifeguard Tower 24 in Santa Monica (Ocean Park). \nWhen 
 you arrive at the address above\, the parking lot entrance can be found on
  Bicknell Avenue or Hollister Avenue. Look out for UM colors\, but if you 
 need help finding our group\, call Carin at (305) 799-5592. \n\n \n\nThis 
 event is free\, but all participants must register by Wednesday\, August 2
 3rd.\nIf friends of the U are joining\, kindly register them\, as well. \n
 \n \n\nWhat to Bring:  \n- Beach attire\, sunscreen\, and sun hats\n- Surf
 board and surf attire (don't worry if you don't have one\; we will have a 
 few loaners)\n- Food and drinks for a potluck-style beach day \n- Umbrella
 s and chairs\n- Coolers \n\n \n\nSo\, mark your calendars for ’Canes Sur
