Industry insiders will break down the journey of a film from concept to screen, offering behind-the-scenes look at how decisions are made to fund, develop, and ultimately greenlight a movie.
The panel will feature experienced producers and studio executives who will share their expertise on pitching projects, navigating the competitive landscape, and evolving criteria that shape what gets made in Hollywood today.

Panelists
Meg Lewis (B.S.C. ’14) is the Director of Development at Paramount Pictures, where she manages a diverse slate of films across all stages of production. She has worked on high-profile projects such as SMILE 2, A Quiet Place: Day One, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and will soon oversee the latest installment of the Scream franchise. A University of Miami graduate with a B.S. in Motion Pictures and Creative Writing, Meg previously gained experience at Warner Bros. Pictures and Verve Talent & Literary Agency.
Reeyaz Hamirani (B.B.A. ’12) is the Vice President of Global Analytics at Paramount Pictures, where he leads a multidisciplinary team to provide insights that help greenlight and market the studio’s most in-demand films. Before joining Paramount, he built the analytics and audience intelligence practice at Lionsgate and served as Head of Creative Advertising for Lionsgate Premiere. A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Reeyaz has been instrumental in DEIA initiatives at Paramount and was a founding Executive Board member of Lionsgate’s Multicultural Employee Resource Group. He graduated from the University of Miami with a major in marketing and minors in public relations and music business.
Matthew Stein (B.S.C. ’99) is the Head of Development for G Unit Film & TV, where he oversees both scripted and unscripted projects for 50 Cent, including hit shows like Ghost, Raising Kanan, and BMF. With over 35 films under his belt, Matt has executive produced titles such as Amityville: The Awakening, Kristy, and Piranha 3DD. A University of Miami graduate with a major in Film/Political Science and a minor in Business, Matt’s career spans executive roles at major studios and production companies, including Dimension Films, Blumhouse, and Image Entertainment.
