Quantitative analysis of single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNA-seq) is crucial for discovering the heterogeneity of cell populations and for elucidating molecular mechanisms in cells. This lecture will discuss applications of scRNA-seq in oncology research and provide an introduction to bioinformatics pipelines for analyzing scRNA-seq data. These pipelines facilitate interpretation of the heterogeneity of single-cell transcriptomes and enable exploration of hypotheses that aim to characterize various cell populations and their relationships.
