About this Event
This workshop will introduce you to the Field Maps mobile app and the Field Maps Designer Web. You will learn how to use the mobile app for collecting geospatial data with your mobile phone or tablet, viewing maps, performing site surveys or inspections, sharing location, and providing situational awareness in the field. You will learn how to use the Designer Web app to create interactive maps featuring locations captured with your mobile phone, and pop-up windows showing your photos and data related to these locations.
Requirement: Completion of the Interactive online mapping workshop is recommended. You will need to bring your mobile phone or tablet. We will go outside Richter Library to collect locations and take photos. We will then come back to the lab to process the data and build a web app.
For product licensing reasons, this workshop is designed for participants with valid UM email accounts.
