Have you wondered how you might get a start in the pursuit of a career in the music industry? Would you like to know how a couple of experienced music attorneys got their first jobs? Join Henry W. Root and Sophia Sofferman in a conversation during which they will cover those topics and inform you about this year’s annual Entertainment Law Initiative (“ELI”) Writing Contest.
You need only submit a 3,000 word essay to be eligible to win a $10,000 tuition scholarship, two tickets to the 2023 Grammy Awards and two tickets to the MusiCares Person of the Year event, together with all expenses paid round trip to Los Angeles for two, publication of your paper in the prestigious ABA “Entertainment & Sports Lawyer” journal and a mentorship with an ELI Executive Committee music attorney.
Find out more about the ELI Writing Contest, which challenges law students to identify and research a pressing legal issue facing the music industry today and outline a proposed solution in a 3,000-word essay.
