About this Event
During February, nationally celebrated as American Heart Month, your heart will pump 56,000 gallons of blood through your body. This extraordinary organ is central to an infinitely precise mechanism of pressure and circulation that keeps you healthy and alive. Heart diseases, such as coronary artery disease and heart attack, have catastrophic life consequences. They are the leading cause of death in the United States, accounting for one out of four deaths in the nation.
Join our UHealth and Miller School of Medicine cardiovascular care experts for our next In the Know virtual town hall in the "Science of Aging" series. Our physician-scientists will answer questions on the latest innovations in heart disease treatments and translational research from advances in electrophysiology to the emerging role of cellular and genetic therapies in heart care. This is the first of two town halls during American Heart Month, dedicated to heart health.
