Free EventPlease join us for Rescue-A-Reef's first Ocean Optimism event and Outreach Program: Hopeful Healthy Oceans that combines an exhibition of marine-themed art created by young Miami artists and presentations by leading scientists, artists, and communicators.
Speakers include:
- Dr. Diego Lirman: University of Miami Associate Professor of Marine Biology and Ecology and Reef Restoration expert
- Louis Aguirre: WPLG Local 10's Environmental Advocate and multiple Emmy-award winning journalist
- Ximena Caminos: Cultural Placemaker, The Reefline Founder
- Dr. Rebecca Gruby: University of Miami Professor of Marine Conservation Director, Johnson Cneter for Marine Conservation
- Beatriz Chachamovits: Environmental Artist and Educator
- Dalton Hesley: Director of the Rescue a Reef Citizen Science Program of University of Miami
- Dr. Liv Williamson: Program Manager, Catalyst Science Fund, Revive & Restore, Genetic Rescue of Endangered Species
