Dr. Schwartz is a Family Medicine physician with an interest in Healthy Aging, which entails helping patients improve key lifestyle factors such as sleep, stress reduction, nutrition, and physical activity that contribute to poor health and illness. Dr. Schwartz will discuss taking a holistic approach to health and focus on lifestyle modifications to address age-related physical, cognitive, and psychological conditions in older adults.
OBJECTIVES:
At the conclusion of this activity participants will be able to:
1. Explain how taking a holistic approach to health and focusing on lifestyle modifications can address changes in physical, cognitive, and psychological disorders in older adults.
2. Outline the evidence for integrative strategies to improve health outcomes.
3. Develop an integrative health plan for older adult patient care.
