The series is intended to bring two types of audiences together: Movie lovers and people who care about current events.
The series continues at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 25th with "More Life: Decoding the Secret of Aging," a documentary that chronicles the work of several cellular biologists exploring the underlying cause of aging -- not just age-related diseases, but the aging process itself.
Carlos T. Moraes, Ph.D., the Esther Lichtenstein Professor in Neurology and Cell Biology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, will lead an engaging and thought-provoking discussion before the screening with Bill Cosford Cinema manager Rene Rodriguez then participate in a Q&A with the audience after the film.
Dr. Moraes will share his own research on the molecular basis of mitochondrial disorders and its impact on the aging process, as well as other exciting pathways to control, slow down, and potentially even reverse aging.
