The saxophone quartets at the Frost School of Music consistently perform publicly at conferences, educationally, and in competitions. The groups are combinations of graduate and undergraduate students who work together over the duration of the semester under the guidance of Dale Underwood to present fantastic classical works written for the medium. On occasion, a jazz saxophone quartet from the jazz saxophone studio of Marcus Strickland will also perform in the quartet series.
