Created by acclaimed composer Etienne Charles, San Juan Hill: A New York Story is an immersive multimedia experience that honors the historic communities once located where Lincoln Center now stands. Through a dynamic blend of ragtime, jazz, stride piano, swing, blues, mambo, paseo, Antillean waltz, calypso, funk, disco, and Hip-Hop, this powerful work brings to life the stories of migrants from the American South and the Caribbean who helped shape New York’s cultural landscape.
