DESCRIPTION:The Faculty Composers Concert features the boundary-pushing Amo
 rsima Trio in world premieres by Charles Norman Mason\, Lansing McLoskey\,
  Scott Stinson\, Shawn Crouch\, Dorothy Hindman\, and Juraj Kojs. \n\n\n \
 n\nFormed in 2016\, the trio—violinist Mia Detwiler\, violist Michael Ca
 pone\, and cellist Kourtney Newton—reimagines the string-trio tradition 
 through bold commissions and collaborations. Recent projects include 21 mi
 niatures marking Beethoven’s 250th anniversary and performances at the U
 niversity of Louisville New Music Festival\, Mise-En Music Festival\, and 
 New Music on the Bayou. Their name\, drawn from Xenakis’s Morsima-Amorsi
 ma\, translates as “that which does not come from fate\,” capturing th
