We Can Dance!

The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program offers dance therapy for stress relief. In this seminar, the basic principles of dance/movement therapy will be presented. Dance/Movement Therapy is a clinical modality than can help individuals who are struggling with stress, depression, trauma, addiction, grief and loss, trauma and eating disorders. Rhythmic group activities in dance/movement therapy develop connection, communication, and community with others. Participants will have the opportunity to virtually join in movement to enhance wellbeing and experience dance and movement for stress reduction. This seminar will be facilitated by Carol Kaminsky MA, BC-DMT, NCC, a board certified dance-movement therapist and a faculty member in the University of Miami dance program. She has taught mindful movement and meditation for stress reduction (MBSR) for over 20 years. FSAP Health and Wellness seminars are offered as part of the University of Miami’s Well ’Canes Program. Attend to receive 100 Pure Wellness points (to a maximum total of 400 points for FSAP 1-hour webinar attendance per calendar year).
