About this Event
“Check-In” are being offered through the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) to support the mental health and emotional well-being of University of Miami faculty and staff. The focus of each “Check-In” will vary from meeting to meeting but each is meant to bring awareness to mental health issues that are of current concerns to the UM faculty and staff. The focus of this “Check-In” will be on addressing the challenges of Self-Care.
Although new ideas and techniques for addressing stress, emotional health and/or well-being may be brought up in the course of the meeting, we do not suggest that participants make changes to their own medical programs without first consulting with their physicians or treating professional. “Check-Ins” are not group psychotherapy or a substitute for professional face-to-face interventions. Ideas for broadening our coping repertoire are meant to target a general audience and this venue does not afford those hosting the capacity to evaluate any one person’s individual needs. If you desire a personal consultation please call the FSAP directly to set up a one-to-one appointment.
FSAP Health and Wellness webinars are offered as part of the University of Miami’s Well ’Canes Program. Attend to receive 100 Pure Wellness points (to a maximum total of 400 points for FSAP 1-hour webinar attendance per calendar year).
