Building Blocks of Positive Parenting
The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program is pleased to welcome Dr. Allison Weinstein, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Clinical Psychology at UM, in delivering The Building Blocks of Parenting. She will discuss how the use of positive attention skills and child-led play, applied in as little as 5 minutes a day, improve children’s behavior while enhancing their relationships with caregivers. These skills can be especially useful during Covid-19 to increase positive interactions and help your child feel more secure. This webinar is offered for all caregivers of children ages 2 to 12 years old. This is the first of a 3-part seminar series on evidence-based parenting strategies for improving parenting skills. FSAP Health and Wellness webinars are offered as part of the University of Miami’s Well ’Canes Program. Attend to receive 100 Pure Wellness points (to a maximum total of 400 points for FSAP 1-hour webinar attendance per calendar year).
