About this Event
Florida Alliance for Assistive Services and Technology (FAAST) is Florida’s FREE assistive technology (AT) program.
Assistive Services are any service that directly assists an individual with a disability in the selection, acquisition, or use of an assistive technology device. An AT device is any item, piece of equipment or product system used to increase or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities.
About the facilitator:
Ana Nevares, M.A., is a state-certified special education teacher. She is a native Spanish speaker and is the coordinator of the South and Broward Regional FAAST Demonstration Centers. Ms. Nevares helped develop a bilingual, online curriculum for preschool teachers of students with special needs on the use of assistive technology (AT) tools and strategies to increase early literary skills as part of the Step Up AT Project.
