About this Event
This Month, Karen Muytemans,Ph.D,, Research Assistant Professorwill be the featured speaker whose talk is titled, the "Genetic Studies in Dementia Across Ancestries. " It will focus on how inclusion of all genetic ancestries of biomedical research is important to fully understand underlying genetic causes for disease. The Evelyn F. McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Miami brings together a cross-disciplinary team of translational scientists and clinicians to accelerate discoveries of age-related memory loss and cognitive impairment produced by various brain related disorders. It seeks to train the next generation of clinical translational investigators capable of translating scientific discoveries into clinical practice, and to advance brain health in communities.
