Through this workshop, we will reflect on the message that we are communicating to our students in our syllabi and shift towards a more student-centered approach. The student-centered syllabus aims to foreground the student as the most important element of the learning experience, promote student equity and belonging, and more. During this session, participants will have time to draft or revise two sections of their syllabus: the course description and teaching philosophy.
Please bring a copy of the syllabus you intend to workshop and a computer.
Learning Commons Flex Space Room 102B is located on the 1st Floor of Richter Library in the back corner facing the Cox Science and Ashe Buildings.
