The book, "Cuban American Women: Making History," presents the biographies of prominent Cuban American women who, regardless of all the adversities they had to face in exile, have been able to succeed in their professional careers, and at the same time, have lived an exemplary life. While building their lives in exile, they have contributed to the well-being of their community, always hoping to one day go back to a free and democratic Cuba.
Join us in person for a presentation by the book's author, Arnhilda Badía, followed by the panel discussion, "The Participation of Cuban American Women in the U.S. Labor Force and the Importance of their Engagement in Today's Society," moderated by Liliam M. López. The event will conclude with an audience question and answer session. "Cuban American Women: Making History" is available for purchase at Books & Books.
This event is co-sponsored by ArtesMiami and José Milton & Associates.
