The Italian Cultural Institute of Miami, in collaboration with the University of Miami School of Law, has organized a panel titled “Copyright Protection in the Publishing Industry in the Era of Generative AI: Perspectives from the US and Italy.”
The panelists will be:
- Professor Andres Sawicki, Professor of Law at the UM School of Law, who will discuss AI’s impact on the creative process.
- Diego Guida, academic and publisher, third-generation publisher of the historic Neapolitan publishing house "Guida Editori," who will talk about AI’s impact on the publishing industry and copyright law.
- Cohen-Sassoon, Law & Technology Fellow, who will address AI from the perspective of its technological capabilities.
Professor Maria Galli Stampino and Dr. Stefano Cerrato, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute of Miami, will introduce the topics of the meeting before inviting the three panelists to speak .
