Enhancing Research Visibility: Open Access, Research Metrics, and Licensing for Data and Code
About this Event
The first half of the seminar will be an introduction to how to make your scholarly work more visible to the academic community and world. Attendees will learn about Open Access and how UM libraries support this initiative; UM's institutional repository (Scholarship@Miami); how to manage UM Profiles and unique identifiers; as well as tools that are available to gauge the visibility and impact of their research. The second half will introduce licensing in the context of research data and code. Attendees will learn how to license their data/code and how to reuse other licensed data/code in their research. Participants from any discipline are welcomed.
