About this Event
"Surviving Together: The Interpersonal Side of Cancer"
Adjustment to medical illness involves complex psychosocial and biological processes that extend beyond patients to their family members across diverse illness trajectories. This presentation synthesizes current evidence on quality-of-life outcomes among family caregivers and highlights key mechanisms shaping psychological and physical health in adult patient-caregiver dyads. Dyadic sleep interventions are introduced as an example of biopsychosocial pathways to enhance well-being for both members of the dyad.
